Check-in and check-out reports

A legal requirement when letting a property

A check-in report (état des lieux) is mandatory whenever a new tenant moves into a home.

Check-in report for an empty home

An accurate record, at check-in and at check-out

The report records the condition of the property, from floor to ceiling, and whether the fixed appliances work.

Carried out when the keys are handed over, the check-in report must be accurate and reliable. It will be compared with the check-out report when the tenant leaves.

That is why it is best to use the same independent party, such as a property surveyor, for both.
